One day we will not forget in a hurry is July 28th 2016; it marked the festive "Cyprus/Bonfire Night" organized by the EMU International Summer School. This night was set aside to celebrate the magnificent Cypriot culture.

The event began at 8pm after the arrival of the EMU Vice Rector, Summer School Coordinator, Staff of EMU, Summer School participants and invited guests.

Prof. Dr. Cem Tanova, the Vice Rector, International Relations & Recruitment; in his opening speech welcomed the guests and made known the progress achieved so far by the International Summer School. He thanked the summer school participants for choosing EMU summer school and encouraged them to be part of subsequent summer school programs. He also advised them to enroll as students in the university.

Students who had successfully completed their summer school program were awarded certificates and Traditional Turkish dishes were served to the guests amidst live Turkish music and dance.

To round up the night, a bonfire was setup and the students danced round the fire to the DJ's rhythm in their various outstanding masks. Assistants, Staff and a few invited guests also participated in the bonfire and showcased their various dance steps. It was a memorable night indeed and we look forward to more nights like this.
