EMU International Summer School Opening Ceremony

The Eastern Mediterranean University International Summer School organized by Vice Rector's Office for International Relations and Recruitment hosts hundreds of students from different countries of the world every year during the summer.

This year the official opening of EMU International Summer School took place at EMU Beach Club at 8:00p.m on Tuesday, 14^th June 2016. In order to be a student of this program, participants are offered courses for a period ranging between 1 to 12 weeks depending on the student's choices. Offering short-term academic programs to hundreds of students, EMU International Summer School has been providing both study and entertainment opportunities to the participants during summer. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Amca delivered the opening speech and talked about the inception of the summer school program and also expressed his happiness with the healthy alliance EMU has with other schools and countries.

Also, Coordinator for EMU International Summer School and Short Term Internship Programs Ozgur Tascioglu delivered a speech and welcomed the students who had begun their summer school program and also bid farewell to the Iranian group who had completed their summer school program, she also expressed her appreciation for the students for participating in the summer school program.

The Iranian group leader Mr. Peyman also expressed their happiness in participating in the summer school program, he declared that they enjoyed their stay and appreciated the hospitable assistance of the summer school assistants. The agent for the Gambian group also expressed his happiness in being able to join EMU summer school and also stressed that EMU International summer school is the best summer school program he has attended amongst others he had been to before.

The opening ceremony also hosted Live music performance from the Consonants, DJ performance, A stage play where the kids from Iran performed a drama on the topic "Child Bullying" A slide show presentation was also displayed and then Certificates were given to participants who had completed their courses.
