EMU International Summer School Celebrates Bayram

Eastern Mediterranean University International Summer School organized a pre-bayram festival for 2016 Summer School Students and its staffs and assistants at 6:30 pm on Monday, 4th July 2016 being the last Iftar of the Ramadan.

Bayram is the Turkish word for Eid al-Fitr (Arabic) which is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting, hence the end of fasting.

The dinner commenced with guests arriving, afterwards the DJ started the night by playing a rendition of songs while guests chatted and fraternised with each other. 

There were also games played during the night and candles were lit in hot air balloons and sent up to the sky. A delicious meal was also served for dinner.
