EMU Hosting 500 Students from 17 Countries within the Scope of the 9th International Summer School

Organized by the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Vice Rector’s Office for International Affairs and Promotion with Turkish Airlines Sponsorship, the 9th annual EMU International Summer School is taking place with the participation of more than 500 students from 17 different countries. Over 500 students from different age groups have travelled from Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Germany, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Morocco, Belarus, England,  Kirgizstan, Uzbekistan and Palestine to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) where they will be receiving English language education. The students will be participating in an enjoyable summer experience that will include numerous activities in addition to the courses delivered by EMU Foreign Languages and English Preparatory School academic staff.

The summer school students have the opportunity to witness university life and Cypriot culture first hand by participating in cultural, artistic and sporting activities in addition to the English language education they receive. The 9th International Summer School students get to enjoy the clear blue sea and sun at the EMU Beach Club as well as participate in weekly cultural trips to different regions of the island.

Brilliant Gala Night

Within the scope of the 9th EMU International Summer School “The Gala Night 2018” took place at the EMU Beach Club on Thursday, the 5th of July 2018.

The talents of students were showcased with artistic performances and dance choreographies. The gala night was attended by International Summer School students, university personnel and EMU International Summer School sponsors. The performances supported by the EMU International Office produced colorful scenes and enjoyable activities took place. The 9th EMU International Summer School will be continuing until the 31st of August 2018.
